Eric Douglas

Eric Douglas was an American actor best known for his roles in A Gunfight, The Golden Child, and Tales from the Crypt. He was the youngest son of film legend Kirk Douglas.

Born on June 21, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, Eric Douglas grew up in a prominent Hollywood family. He was the youngest son of Kirk Douglas and had two half-brothers, Michael and Joel Douglas. Eric had a long struggle with substance abuse, which troubled his personal life and career.

Career

Eric began his acting career with a role in A Gunfight alongside his father in 1971. He appeared in several films and shows over the years, including The Golden Child and a memorable role in Tales from the Crypt. Despite his family’s fame, Eric often referred to himself as the ‘black sheep’ of the Douglas family, performing stand-up comedy that included self-deprecating humor about his struggles.

Death and Legacy
