Eric was involved in theater from a young age and later attended Columbia University. He married artist Joanna in 1955 and they had three children: Karen, David, and Andrea, but divorced in 1977.
Career
Eric began his acting journey in theater and gained a contract with RKO Pictures, making his film debut in Are These Our Children (1931). Throughout the 1930s, he starred alongside prominent actresses like Joan Blondell and Loretta Young. Despite a promising start, his film roles began to decline in the later part of the decade, leading him to focus more on theater, where he found renewed success. After serving in the Armed Forces during World War II, he continued performing stage plays.
Death and Legacy
Eric Linden passed away on July 14, 1994, due to cardio-respiratory arrest at the age of 84 in South Laguna Beach, California.
