Felix Anthony Blanchard Jr. was born on December 11, 1924, in McColl, South Carolina. He married Jody King on October 12, 1948, and they had three children together. The couple remained married until Jody’s death in 1994.
Death and Legacy
Felix Blanchard passed away on April 19, 2009, in Bulverde, Texas, due to pneumonia. He is remembered not only for his acting career but also for his exceptional achievements in college football. Blanchard was a celebrated athlete, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1945 and later being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
