Florence Rice

Born on February 14, 1907, in Cleveland, Ohio, Florence Rice was the daughter of sports columnist Grantland Rice. She showed an early interest in acting and attended both grammar and boarding schools. Throughout her life, she was married four times, including to actor Robert Wilcox for a brief period.

Career

Florence Rice made her film debut in the mid-1930s and quickly became known for her work with MGM. She often starred alongside Robert Young in several films, showcasing her talent in light, witty roles. One of her most notable performances came in the Marx Brothers film “At the Circus,” where she played the role of Julie Randall.

Death and Legacy
