Frank Hazzard was born as Franklin O. Hornaday on December 23, 1905, in Sidney, Nebraska. He was married three times, first to Alice Mary Slaughter from 1928 to 1932, with whom he had one child. Later, he married Bettye Junod in 1932, but they eventually divorced. His last known spouse was Cecile Preusz.
