Frank McGee began working as a reporter for NBC News in the mid-1950s, starting at the Montgomery, Alabama bureau. He famously reported on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. McGee was known for his traditional style and his ability to vividly describe news events, following in the footsteps of pioneers like Edward R. Murrow. From 1971 until his death, he co-hosted the NBC Today show with Barbara Walters.
