Frederic Franklin was an English-American actor and ballet dancer who is best known for his performances in Great Performances: Dance in America, The Gay Parisian, and Your Show of Shows. He was recognized as one of the last surviving members of the original Ballet Russe.

Born on June 13, 1914, in Liverpool, England, Frederic Franklin had a passion for ballet from a young age. He spent 48 years with his partner, William Ausman. Franklin was also honored with a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2004 for his contributions to ballet.
