Frederik van Pallandt was born on May 14, 1934, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was the son of diplomat Floris van Pallandt, and his mother was Else Komtesse Blücher Altona. He had three children with his first wife, Nina van Pallandt, with whom he gained fame as a musical duo. Later, he married María Jesus de Los Rios y Coello de Portugal, with whom he had one child.
Death and Legacy
Tragically, van Pallandt was murdered on May 15, 1994, in Mindoro, Philippines, during an incident connected to a drug syndicate. Reports suggest he was involved in transporting pharmaceuticals at the time of his death. His legacy includes his contribution to the folk and pop music scene during the 1960s, where he and Nina were particularly celebrated.
