Gaspar Henaine was born on January 6, 1927, in Chignahuapan, Puebla, Mexico. He was married to María Elena Frías Guerrero since December 29, 1948, until his death in 2011. The couple had two children, including son Antonio Henaine. Henaine had a cousin, Emile Kuri, who was also involved in the entertainment industry.
Career
Starting his career in the early 1940s with the musical group “Los Excéntricos del Ritmo,” he later formed the duo “Viruta y Capulina.” Together with Marco Antonio Campos, he became known for their unique slapstick comedy style in both films and on television. Despite their eventual split, Capulina continued to enjoy success with various movies and children’s music, earning the title “King of White Comedy.”
Death and Legacy
Gaspar Henaine passed away on September 30, 2011, in Mexico City due to pneumonia.
