Geoff Outlaw

Geoff Outlaw was an American actor who is best known for Alice’s Restaurant. He was born Geoffrey Bowie Outlaw on November 9, 1946, in New York City.

Personal and Family Life

Geoff grew up in Greenwich Village and later moved to western Massachusetts. He attended school with his friend, musician Arlo Guthrie, and they acted together in the film Alice’s Restaurant. Throughout his life, Geoff was actively involved in music, playing guitar and singing for the band The Fugs. He moved to Austin, Texas, in 1974, where he worked at the Split Rail and booked musicians.

Death and Legacy

Geoff Outlaw passed away on February 28, 2016, in Texas. He was remembered as a loyal neighbor and a guardian angel to many in his community. His contributions to music and storytelling left a lasting impact on those around him, creating fond memories of his vibrant personality.
