Born Georgios Thomas Regakos on November 19, 1890, George Regas was the older brother of actor Pedro Regas. He was married to Reine Davies until her passing in 1938. George had two children, Charles Lederer and Pepi Lederer, and he was also a brother-in-law to famed actress Marion Davies.
Career
Before moving to the United States, George Regas performed as a stage actor in Athens. He gained recognition for his portrayal of “Romeo” in a Grecian version of Romeo and Juliet in New York.
