Georgi Ivanov Penkov, better known as Johnny Penkov, was an American actor and sound engineer. He is best remembered for his roles in “Knight without Armor,” “Jesse James vs. Lokum Shekerov,” and “Turkish Delight.”

Johnny Penkov was born on November 26, 1933, in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was the son of the esteemed artist Professor Ivan Penkov. In 1966, he graduated with a degree in radio engineering from the Technical University, and in 1972, he specialized in electric engineering in France.
Career
Penkov worked as a sound engineer in numerous documentaries throughout his career. He also took on acting roles in various films, earning recognition for his performances. Alongside Georgi Stoev and Hristo Iliev, he received the Sofia Award for their significant contributions to the film industry.
