Glenn Frey was born on November 6, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan. He was married twice: first to Janie Beggs from 1983 to 1988, and then to Cindy Frey from 1990 until his death in 2016. He had three children: Deacon, Otis, and Taylor Frey.

Glenn Frey passed away on January 18, 2016, in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City, due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia. His contributions to music, especially with The Eagles, left a lasting impact on the world of rock and roll.
