Grant Masaru Imahara was born on October 23, 1970, in Los Angeles, California. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California in 1993. Although he worked extensively in film and television, he maintained a close relationship with his family and was known for his warm personality and sense of humor.
Career
Grant began his career at Industrial Light & Magic, where he contributed to many big projects like the Matrix sequels and Jurassic Park. He was one of the official operators of R2-D2 and occasionally donned the C-3PO suit for promotions. His popularity grew when he joined the cast of MythBusters, where he showcased his engineering skills and creativity.
Death and Legacy
Grant Imahara passed away on July 13, 2020, due to a brain aneurysm. Following his death, he was cremated, and his ashes were returned to his family. His contributions to the film industry and the impact he made on his fans continue to be remembered.
