Grit Haid

Grit Haid was an American actress born on March 14, 1900, in Vienna, Austria-Hungary (now Austria). She is best known for her roles in Es war einmal ein treuer Husar (1929), Der gefesselte Polo (1929), and Die Tochter des Brigadiers (1922). She tragically died on August 13, 1938, in Schwarzwald, Germany, in a plane crash.

Grit Haid was the daughter of a violin maker and had a sister, Liane Haid, who was also an actress and recognized as the first Austrian movie star.
