Hal Buckley was born on September 9, 1934, in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. He co-owned a popular restaurant in Beverly Hills named Cafe Four Oaks. In 1968, he organized a free Thanksgiving turkey dinner for fifty African-American orphans, inviting several Hollywood stars; however, only Steve McQueen attended.
