Personal and Family Life

Hana Hegerová, born Carmen Farkasová, was married to Dalibor Heger from 1954 until their divorce in 1958, and together they had one child. She was also the grandmother of Matous Heger. After moving to Prague, she was offered a role at the ABC Theatre by famous Czech actor Jan Werich, but she declined the offer.

Career

Hegerová had a diverse musical repertoire that included many chansons by Czech and Slovak authors, along with Czech versions of popular songs from Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel, and Kurt Weill. She gained recognition in the film industry, particularly after playing the title character in the 1954 film “Frona.” She also fell seriously ill in December 2014 due to heart problems, leading to hospitalization.
