Hanna Axmann-Rezzori was born on July 14, 1921, in Bochum, Germany. Throughout her life, she was married twice, first to Edward Tierney from 1952 to 1953, and later to Gregor von Rezzori starting in 1959. She was also related by marriage to actors Lawrence Tierney and Scott Brady.
