Hannelore Auer was married twice, first to Alfred Prinz von Auersperg from 1968 to 1979, and then to the famous German singer Heino from 1979 until her death. She was also a stepmother to Ala von Auersperg and Alexander von Auersperg from her first husband’s previous marriage. In the 1960s, she had a long-term relationship with film director Franz Antel. A notable event in her life was a serious car accident in 1972, which almost claimed her life.
