Harold Innocent was educated at Broad Street Secondary Modern School in Coventry. After completing his education, he worked briefly as an office clerk before pursuing his passion for acting at the Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art. He initially appeared in a walk-on role in ‘Iphigenia in Aulis’ before his first speaking role in ‘Pericles’ at the Old Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Following his National Service in the Royal Air Force, he continued to work in repertory theatre before moving to the United States.
