Harry Cashman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on June 20, 1869. He was married to Evelyn Temple, who was also an actress. Sadly, she passed away on February 3, 1905. Harry was the son of George T. Cashman and Annastasia O’Kane.

He was known for his tall and stocky build as well as his wavy hair. He often portrayed characters such as a father or a chief of police and frequently collaborated with fellow actor Francis X.
