Harry Fox was married four times. His first wife was Jenny Dolly, followed by Beatrice Curtis, with whom he had one child. He later married performer Florrie Millership and finally Evelyn Brent, with whom he remained until his death. His parents were Owen Messman and Mamie Carringford.

Harry Fox died from natural causes on July 20, 1959. He left behind a legacy as a talented performer, known not only for his acting but also for his contributions to dance, particularly the “fox-trot,” which originated from his act in the Ziegfeld Follies.
