Born Helene Marie Haskin on March 26, 1911, in King George, Virginia, she had a diverse personal life. Helen was married three times, firstly to McClelland Barclay from 1930 to 1933, then to Gregg Toland from 1934 until their divorce in 1945, with whom she had one child. Her last marriage was to August Wilhelm Krause Jr., lasting until his death in 1978.

Death and Legacy

Helen Barclay passed away on April 26, 1980, in Orange, California. Though her acting career was brief, she left a mark with her unique performances, especially in films during the early 1930s. Her contributions to the film industry continue to be remembered by classic cinema enthusiasts.
