Born Lula May Burt on August 30, 1865, in Tuscola, Illinois, she came from a family with a father named William Neal Burt and a mother named Caroline Burr. Throughout her life, she was married three times – to actor Edward J. Morgan, Edward J. Henley, and Achille Tomasi, with whom she had one child.
