Born in June 1893 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Helen was the youngest child of Charles Thomas Hayes and Martha Belle Marshall. She had two older siblings, Jesse and Gertrude. Helen married her first husband, Edmund Cobb, on October 26, 1914, and they had a daughter named Eddie Marie Cobb.
Marriage and Later Life
After divorcing Edmund Cobb while their daughter was still young, Helen married her second husband, Edwin Jackson, on January 14, 1930, in Los Angeles, California. Edwin, who was previously married, went on to have a career in the film industry. Sadly, Helen passed away in 1932 when her daughter was just 17 years old.
