Henry Calvin

Henry Calvin was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Babes in Toyland, Zorro, and Ship of Fools. Born on May 25, 1918, in Dallas, Texas, he gained fame for his rich singing voice and his portrayal of Sergeant García in the 1950s TV series Zorro.

Henry Calvin was born Wimberly Calvin Goodman and grew up in Dallas. He attended Southern Methodist University after graduating from Sunset High School. During his childhood, he sang in the choir at the First Baptist Church of Dallas. Calvin also took part in a guest appearance on The Dick Van Dyke Show, impersonating Oliver Hardy.
