Personal and Family Life
Nakamura was originally placed in an internment camp after the attack on Pearl Harbor. However, he left the camp to join the Navy, where he served as a Japanese interpreter. He graduated from Farrington High School and the University of Hawaii and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was married to Koto and had one son, Derek.

Henry Nakamura worked in Hollywood during the 1950s, appearing in several films directed by William A. Wellman. His acting credits include notable titles such as “Go For Broke!” and “Westward the Women.” After his acting career, he transitioned to federal service, working in Okinawa for over 32 years before retiring in 1993.
