Tanney began his medical career in Internal Medicine and later specialized in Endocrinology. He started practicing in Beverly Hills in 1962, where he treated many celebrities, including Blake Edwards and Julie Andrews. His film debut came with “Darling Lili,” and he frequently appeared in Blake Edwards’ films, often using the screen name ‘Sascha Tanney’ with a first name starting with ‘S’.
