Howard Goorney was born on May 11, 1921, in Manchester, Lancashire, England. He was married to Stella Riley in 1957, and they had two children together. He was involved in theatre from a young age, working with Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop and later the National Theatre.
Career
Before becoming an actor, Goorney worked as a junior accountancy clerk in 1937. He began acting in repertory theatre, including performances at the Bristol Old Vic. He co-founded Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop in 1940 and was an active performer for thirty years.
Death and Legacy
Howard Goorney passed away on March 29, 2007, in Bath, Somerset, England. His contributions to theatre and film have left a lasting impact, and he is remembered as a talented actor and a staunch supporter of theatrical arts.
