Howard Jackson

Howard Jackson was an American actor who is best known for The Last of the Mohicans, Walker, Texas Ranger, and The Delta Force. He was born on June 27, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on March 7, 2006, in Duarte, California.

Personal and Family Life

Howard E. Jackson, also known by the nickname “California Flash,” began his martial arts journey at Chuck Norris Karate Studios in Torrance, California, in the early 1970s. He was a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton when he first met Chuck Norris, which paved the way for his future career in film and martial arts. Jackson was recognized as the first black martial artist inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame and held a 6th-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do.

Career

After retiring from competitive martial arts in 1983, Howard worked as a bodyguard and trainer for Chuck Norris. He had a significant career in acting, featuring in various films and television shows alongside his martial arts work, including stunt performances for Norris’ movies. Throughout the years, Jackson gained recognition for his role in action films and television series, making a lasting impact in the industry.

Death and Legacy
