Ibrahim Ferrer

Ibrahim Ferrer was an American actor known for his work in The Party (2017), Buena Vista Social Club: Adios (2017), and Gorillaz: Live in Manchester (2006). He was born on February 20, 1927, in Santiago, Cuba and passed away on August 6, 2005, in Havana, Cuba.

Ibrahim Ferrer was married to Caridad Diaz from 1972 until his death in 2005, and together they had six children. He was recognized for his smooth, crooning baritone voice and often wore a Kangol cap and carried a cane.

Death and Legacy

Ibrahim Ferrer died on August 6, 2005, due to multiple organ failure. His contributions to music and film left a lasting impact, particularly through the Buena Vista Social Club project which revived interest in Afro-Cuban music.
