Ilija Dzuvalekovski

Ilija Dzuvalekovski was an American actor best known for his roles in “Bronte: cronaca di un massacro che i libri di storia non hanno raccontato,” “Црвениот коњ,” and “Licem u lice.” He was born on December 20, 1915, in Prilep, Serbia, and passed away on October 18, 2004, in Skopje, Macedonia.

Ilija Dzuvalekovski began his education at the Music Academy in Belgrade, where he studied singing. In 1944, he moved to the island of Vis in Croatia and began his acting career. He later studied in Moscow and returned to his native Macedonia to work in theater and education.

Ilija joined the Makedonski naroden teatar (Macedonian National Theater) in 1945. After a successful career there, he moved to Zagreb’s national theater in 1964 and became a professor at the Croatian Academy of Theater, Film, and TV in 1967. In 1972, he returned to Macedonia to teach drama.
