Jack Jones was married to Katharine Ann Kittle, and they had one child together, Jack Lawrence Jones. He experienced a serious accident while filming a stunt for the movie “The Dawn Rider” in 1935, which led to a severe leg injury, ending his career in stunts. Despite this setback, he continued acting in films after his recovery.

Career

Before his acting career, Jack briefly pursued boxing and adopted the ring name “Jack Jones,” chosen by a fight promoter who believed Ferris John Jones would not be marketable. His son, Jack Lawrence Jones, made a single film appearance as a baby in the 1934 film “A Blasted Event.” Jack Jones became recognized for his characters in various films and gained a loyal fanbase.

Death and Legacy

Jack Jones died on May 26, 1995, in Glendora, California, as a result of a stroke. His contributions to the Western genre have been appreciated by audiences, and his films remain a part of early Hollywood history.
