Jack Pepper

Jack Pepper was an American actor who is best known for his performances in vaudeville, his marriage to Ginger Rogers, and his role as the father of actress Cynthia Pepper.

Born as Edward Jackson Culpepper on June 14, 1902, in Palestine, Texas, Jack Pepper had a vibrant family life. He was married three times, first to the famous actress Ginger Rogers, with whom he had a show titled “Ginger and Pepper”. His second marriage was brief, and he eventually married Dawn Stanton, a former Ziegfeld dancer, with whom he had two children.

Career

Jack Pepper first gained fame in vaudeville as part of a duo called “Salt & Pepper” alongside Frank Salt. He also had a stage act with his siblings and was well-known for working with Bob Hope, touring to entertain troops and appearing in several of Hope’s films and TV specials. His diverse career included various roles in both film and television.
