Jackie Basehart was the son of famous actors Richard Basehart and Valentina Cortese. He had an older half-sister named Gayla Basehart. Throughout his life, he was close friends with Massimo Serato and had a significant relationship with model and actress Antonia Dell’Atte in the early 1980s. He was married to Tatiana Basehart until his death.
