James Aubrey, whose birth name was James Aubrey Tregidgo, was married to Agnes Kristin Hallander, and they had one child together before they divorced. He studied acting at the Drama Centre in London and completed his MA in Drama at Flinders University in South Australia. He was discovered by director Peter Brook while living in Jamaica in 1960.
Career
Aubrey gained recognition for his performance as Ralph in the film Lord of the Flies (1963). He was also notable for his role as Mitch Alford in Spy Game (2001). Throughout his career, he was involved in various projects, including acting and casting for films and theater.
Death and Legacy
James Aubrey died from pancreatitis on April 6, 2010. He was set to star in Shadows of a Stranger but passed away before filming began. His talents were recognized by noted playwright Tennessee Williams, who praised his performance in The Glass Menagerie.
