Personal and Family Life

Born on November 13, 1956, in Whittier, California, James Glenn Troesh grew up in a supportive family. He was married to Theresa Troesh from June 28, 1980, until their divorce. At the age of 14, an accident left him a quadriplegic, after he contacted a power line while trying to set up an antenna. This incident significantly impacted his life, but he went on to pursue a career in acting and writing.

Career

James Troesh transitioned from acting to writing and was one of the few quadriplegic actors in the industry. He began his career in radio before moving to stage and television. Jim was also a skilled improviser, having trained with notable figures and performed with various comedy troupes. He created and hosted the podcast The Hollywood Quad, sharing his experiences in Hollywood.

Death and Legacy

James Troesh passed away on October 1, 2011, in Burbank, California, due to respiratory failure. He was 54 years old and was one of three actors from Highway to Heaven who died at a young age. His contributions to acting and writing inspired many, particularly in the disabled community, showcasing the possibilities within the arts.
