Jane Bryan

Jane Bryan was an American actress who is best known for her roles in “Marked Woman,” “We Are Not Alone,” and “Kid Galahad.”

Jane Bryan was born Jane O’Brien on June 11, 1918, in Los Angeles, California. She married Justin Whitlock Dart on December 31, 1939, and they had three children together. Bryan was known to be a close friend of actress Bette Davis, who was also her mentor. The couple was fond of collecting art, amassing around 70 pieces which Jane later donated to the Monterey Museum of Art.

Career

In the late 1930s, Jane Bryan was being groomed for stardom by Warner Bros. She starred in several films during her career, showcasing her talent and appearing in notable movies alongside various famous actors. Her husband, Justin Dart, had a significant influence in politics as he became one of Ronald Reagan’s trusted advisors.

Death and Legacy

Jane Bryan passed away on April 8, 2009, in Pebble Beach, California, at the age of 90. She is remembered for her contributions to film and for her advocacy work through her family, especially her stepson’s involvement in disability rights.
