Born on January 2, 1912, in Schwerin, Germany, Jaspar von Oertzen was also a founding member of the German political party “Die Grünen.” He married Ellen Petz in July 1938 when she was just 13 years old, and their marriage lasted until her death in 1970.

Career

Von Oertzen’s film career began in 1934, primarily taking on supporting roles. In 1951, he starred in the American film “The Magic Face” as Major Fritz Weinrich. He directed his only film, “Sommerliebe am Bodensee,” in 1956.
