Jayant

Jayant was an American actor who is best known for State Express, Sardar-e-Awwal, and His Highness. Born on October 15, 1915, in Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, British India, he passed away on June 2, 1975, in India.

Personal and Family Life

Jayant, whose birth name was Zakaria Khan, was the father of the well-known actor Amjad Khan. He was also a grandfather to Shadaab Khan and a father-in-law to Shaila Khan. Jayant had two other sons, Inayat Khan and Imtiaz Khan. His brother, Jehangir Khan, was a former superintendent of police and worked as an assistant director in films during the 1930s.

Jayant acted in many Hindi films under his professional name, becoming a recognized figure in the Indian film industry.
