Jim Hutchison

Jim Hutchison was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Magnum, P.I., Damien’s Island, and Hawaii Five-O.

Jim Hutchison was born on January 19, 1934, in England, Arkansas. He was married to Wisa D’Orso, and they had two children before they divorced. Later in life, Hutchison moved to Honolulu, where he played a significant role in the local arts community.

Career

He was featured as a dancer in the 1965 film Time Piece and made appearances on popular shows like “The Ed Sullivan Show” and “The Jackie Gleason Show.” Hutchison later worked as a choreographer and artistic director for the Honolulu Community Theater, where he led the Honolulu City Ballet. He also had a successful career on stage in New York, performing in musicals such as “Kean,” “Happy Hunting,” “The Ziegfeld Follies,” and “The Pajama Game.”
