Jim Nabors was born James Thurston Nabors on June 12, 1930, in Sylacauga, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama and worked as a typing clerk at the United Nations before moving to Los Angeles due to his asthma. There, he started his career in entertainment, eventually becoming a beloved television star. He had a long-term relationship with Stan Cadwallader, and the couple married on January 15, 2013.
