Jimmy Wang Yu was an American actor best known for his roles in “Master of the Flying Guillotine,” “Dragon,” and “Soul.” Born on March 28, 1943, in Shanghai, China, he became famous for his unique contributions to the kung fu genre and was known as “The Asian Steve McQueen.”

Wang was married to Jeanette Lin Tsui from 1969 until their divorce in 1975, and they had three children together. His early career in Hong Kong saw him gaining fame while working with Shaw Brothers Studio. Wang’s impact on the martial arts film industry was significant, creating a new genre of kung fu movies with “The Chinese Boxer,” which showcased hand-to-hand combat.
