She was married twice, first to an unknown man until 1958 and later to composer Frank Loesser from April 30, 1959, until his death on July 28, 1969. Together, they had two children, including a daughter named Emily. She also had stepchildren, John and Susan Loesser, and was the grandmother of Hallie Stephens.
