John McLiam

John McLiam was married to Roberta Claire Robinson from November 25, 1951, until his death in 1994. They had one child together. He earned a Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s College in Berkeley, California, and briefly worked as a reporter on the West Coast before diving into acting.

Career

McLiam began his acting career on Broadway, making his debut in Maxwell Anderson’s play “Barefoot in Athens” in 1951. He served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service. Due to the presence of other actors named John Williams, he changed his stage name to John McLiam, which has become well-known over the years.

Death and Legacy

John McLiam passed away on April 16, 1994, in Los Angeles, California, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. His legacy lives on through his numerous film and television roles, which showcase his versatility and talent as an actor.
