Jonathan Gilmore was born on July 5, 1935, in Los Angeles, California. He was married three times, first to Cecilia Madach from 1960 to 1975, then to Ronna Kean from 1981 to 1992, and finally to Marie NaVeaux from 1995 until their divorce in 2004. He had two children during his marriages.

Death and Legacy

Jonathan Gilmore passed away on October 13, 2016, in Los Angeles, California, due to leukemia. He was considered “the quintessential L.A. noir writer” by international newspapers. His influence and work in the film industry continue to be remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
