Later, she married pop singer Tommy Roe, with whom she remained until her death.

Her most famous role was as Nick Nolte’s strict French teacher in the mini-series Rich Man, Poor Man, where she faced challenges from Nolte’s character’s father, portrayed by Ed Asner.
