Jud Strunk

Jud Strunk was an American actor and country music performer who is best known for his hit single “Daisy a Day,” his roles in “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In,” and appearances on “Bewitched.” He was born Justin Roderick Strunk Jr. in Jamestown, New York, on June 11, 1936.

Jud Strunk moved to Farmington, Maine, in the 1960s and later settled on a farm in Eustis, Maine. He had a passion for music and performance, touring with one-man shows for the U.S. Armed Forces. Strunk was married and divorced twice and had three children: Rory, Jeffrey, and Joel.

Career

Strunk was not only a singer-songwriter but also acted in several television shows and musicals. He starred in the Broadway musical “Beautiful Dreamer,” before landing roles in TV shows like “Bewitched” and the comedy series “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.” He released several country music albums, with “Daisy a Day” becoming a notable hit.

Death and Legacy

Jud Strunk tragically died in a plane crash on October 5, 1981, while test-flying an antique airplane he was restoring. His music reached an audience beyond his lifetime, and his sons are working to produce a movie based on his life, ensuring that his legacy continues.
