Judith married Ronald Edgeworth in 1969, who was a British pianist and composer, until his death in 1994. Despite her success, she did not have children.

Starting her career at age 19, Judith played with various bands before joining The Seekers, where she quickly rose to fame. The group became the first Australian band to gain significant success in both the UK and US music charts, with hit songs like “Georgy Girl” and “The Carnival Is Over.” After the group disbanded in 1968, she embarked on a solo career and later reunited with The Seekers for several successful tours.
