June Preisser was born on June 26, 1920, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up as one of six children. She married J. Moss Terry in 1942, and they had one son named Richard Josiah Moss Terry, born in January 1943. Her early career saw her performing alongside her sister Cherry in a vaudeville act, showcasing their remarkable agility.

Career

June began her film career in the late 1930s with MGM, where she captured attention for her charming roles, including appearances alongside Mickey Rooney. Throughout the years, she transitioned to television and theater, but eventually, her career slowed down by the late 1940s. After a divorce, she briefly opened acrobatic schools before moving to Florida with her son.

Death and Legacy

Tragically, June Preisser passed away on September 19, 1984, in Florida due to a car accident that also claimed her son’s life. She was 64 years old at the time of her death. Despite her untimely end, her legacy lives on through her memorable performances and contributions to the entertainment industry.
